I offer hourly prices cheaper than companies like ProGenealogists.
![]() |
| Ancestry/Progenealogists' prices early 2023 |
Basic Research prices:
RATE:
1st hour: $30.00 USD
2nd hour: $30.00
3rd hour: $30.00
Every hour after that: $25.00
To purchase --
Example: one hour $30.00 payment,
two hours $60.00 payment,
three hours $90.00 payment,
four hours $115.00 payment.
Add $25.00 more to each hour that you want to buy.
Under some circumstances a refund will be needed (like if you change your mind before I start research). I will refund the money minus the credit/debit card processing fees (which are a small percentage). If research has already been done, the refund will be prorated, on a case by case basis.
Email me at mywifethegenealogist@aol.com and explain what you would like me to research. Wait for my response.
Then pay when you are ready for me to proceed. A payment Button link will be included on the right side of this blog webpage. Thanks!
p.s. Input the dollar amount for how many hours of research you are purchasing.
Also, in the Check out menu, there is one field ("Required*"), it says "# of hours/ what you are purchasing/ instructions" In this field please input how many hours you are purchasing (# of hours, not purchase price); also if you are purchasing something else, like a special report described in your email quote. If you wish, you may also add any other simple and brief description such as, Research Smith family line,...or research Mark Wilkes, etc.
p.p.s. Technology can be stubborn at times. In the Check out Menu (in the Square payment processing account I have two business venues) their software insists on having "Gathering Zions People" at the top of the payment screen and it won't let me change it. Just know, it's the same place: My Wife The Genealogist payment will still arrive to me. Hopefully I can get it changed later to reflect the correct name.
Happy St. Patrick's! It's March 17, 2023. Spring is almost here; it's a time of new beginnings. I'm starting a new venture: Genealogy services.
How did I get the name, My Wife The Genealogist?
Funny,...it was named by my spouse who was (?lovingly?) annoyed that sometimes I would stay up late working on genealogy. C'mon! The house was finally quiet because everyone else was in bed slumbering. I could think without distraction. You know how it is when you get on a roll and are heading for a research break-through. I have to admit, that on occasion, I did stay up pretty late. It was when I started nodding off at the computer that I would drag myself to bed.
A few weeks later, a package with a t-shirt enclosed, unannounced showed up at the door.
It had this slogan printed on it:
Genealogy Rebel
I Research Past My Bedtime
After
More Twists, and Turns, I have decided to start a self
employment venture, of helping others with their genealogy. I have a
knack for finding information. It's been this way for a long time.
'Must be in my blood. My grandfather was in intel, and my father was a
scientist. An aunt was a genealogist. I've done various family trees,
some of them extensive. 'Been involved with genealogy for over 20
years. I've done genetic DNA several times and cracked the case and found the
missing relative for others. 'Might as well turn that intrigue into
some cash and help others in the process.
'More to come very soon!
Sincerely,
MyWifeTheGenealogist
